Pearl Crystal Beat 4 Piece
Acrylic Shell Pack in Glacier Fade

Seamless acrylic shells with fast attack, punchy projection and a compact dual-rack-tom setup

Overview

The Pearl Crystal Beat 4 Piece Acrylic Shell Pack in Glacier Fade delivers the loud, immediate and visually striking character that has made Crystal Beat a standout series since its original 1970s introduction. This Glacier Fade configuration includes a 22 x 16 inch bass drum, 10 x 7 inch tom with OptiMount, 12 x 8 inch tom with OptiMount and 16 x 15 inch floor tom, giving drummers a versatile two-up, one-down layout with strong projection, focused punch and quick tom response. With seamless molded acrylic shells and a dramatic limited-edition finish, this kit is built for players who want their drums to cut through both sonically and visually.

Features

Crystal Beat drums use Pearl’s molded seamless acrylic shell construction, a design created to deliver cutting tonal power, clean projection and striking transparent looks. The acrylic shell voice is direct and powerful, with fast attack and controlled overtones that work especially well on loud stages, amplified gigs and modern productions where clarity and punch matter.

This Glacier Fade shell pack uses a slightly different configuration from the Cotton Candy setup, trading the 14 inch floor tom for a 10 x 7 inch rack tom. That gives the kit a more agile two-rack-tom layout, with the 10 and 12 inch toms providing fast, articulate upper voices and the 16 x 15 inch floor tom adding low-end depth for bigger fills and heavier grooves. The 22 x 16 inch bass drum anchors the kit with the punch and projection expected from a full-size acrylic kick.

Pearl outfits Crystal Beat drums with hardware designed to let the shells speak clearly. The toms use OptiMount suspension to keep mounting hardware off the shell and improve sustain, while 1.6mm triple-flanged hoops add attack and tonal body. Crystal Beat hardware also includes CRBL insulated lugs, die-cast bass drum claws and telescoping bass drum spurs with retractable spikes, helping the kit stay stable and responsive while preserving the character of the acrylic shells.
