Yamaha Plastic Mouthpiece - Alto Saxophone

THE WORLD'S MOST POPULAR STUDENT MOUTHPIECE

The latest student mouthpiece from Yamaha, meticulously crafted from high-quality phenol resin (plastic), draws inspiration from the top-grade Custom series in its design. Renowned for their consistency in specifications and playing quality, these mouthpieces deliver exceptional value, making them a standout choice within their price range.

Distinguished by a thoughtful design, the facing of the Standard Series is slightly shorter compared to the Custom Series. This deliberate adjustment not only facilitates a smoother playing experience but also proves advantageous for novice musicians who are embarking on their musical journey. The shorter facing makes it more accessible for beginners to produce a rich, characteristic sound, providing an encouraging environment for skill development.

In essence, the Standard Series strikes a harmonious balance between affordability and performance, making it an ideal option for both seasoned players looking for a reliable and cost-effective choice and beginners seeking a mouthpiece that supports the development of their playing skills and the cultivation of a distinctive musical voice.

 Staff Review

"Its short-facing makes it easy to play, responsive, and very even throughout the range. Its sound is warm and vibrant with a good amount of projection if needed. They are highly recommended by both our own staff and teachers, perfect for anyone setting out to learn the sax."- James Penny
