BetterSax BURNIN' - Metal Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece

A metal mouthpiece for alto that gets the balance of brightness, power and warmth just right

Following in the footsteps of the extremely popular hard rubber Burnin' alto mouthpiece, the metal sibling is born.  It's not always the standard go-to for alto players to opt for metal, but when the mouthpiece is as finely conceived as this one those players may want to reconsider.  Delivering a balance between warmth of core tone and power and projection when needed, the Burnin' metal will make many alto players feel like they've found the answer here.

The Burnin' metal alto saxophone mouthpiece is the result of a collaboration between JodyJazz Mouthpieces and BetterSax, led by Jay, a prominent online influencer and educator. Jay's sound concept, showcased in numerous YouTube videos, reflects his vision for the perfect alto sax mouthpiece. This partnership was born out of mutual respect, with Jay expressing satisfaction at how the final design aligns with his expectations. The Burnin' is a versatile and soulful piece that strikes a balance between traditional jazz tones and a contemporary vibe. Its roll-over baffle design provides power, projection, and brightness when desired. The large chamber complements the baffle, offering lush warmth and sonic depth, resulting in a complex and beautiful tone. The straight side walls contribute to a free-blowing and focused sound with a strong core.  it is very similar in sound concept to the hard rubber version but there is a degree of extra vibrancy and power with this metal version.

Manufactured in the USA, specifically in Savannah, Georgia, by Jody Jazz, the Burnin' metal is made using state-of-the-art CNC machining, ensuring the highest quality and consistency. The medium facing curve makes it reed-friendly and easy to play, with meticulously designed tip openings (5, 6, 7).

Highlighted by a matte finish exterior and a finely sculpted, hand-painted logo, the Burnin' mouthpiece is not just a musical tool but also a visually appealing piece. Overall, it stands as a testament to precision, attention to detail, and a collaborative effort to create a top-tier alto saxophone mouthpiece.
