Minutemen: Double Nickels On The Dime (Colored Vinyl) Vinyl 2LP - Turntable Lab Exclusive - LIMIT 1 PER CUSTOMER

Lab exclusivo! Minutemen’s Double Nickels on the Dime is a seminal album in the development of punk and hardcore, released in 1984 on SST Records. Originating from San Pedro, California, the Minutemen — consisting of Mike Watt, D. Boon, and George Hurley — delivered an eclectic mix of punk, funk, and jazz influences, showcasing their unique approach to the genre. This double album is a landmark in their discography, celebrated for its diverse sound and experimental spirit. The album’s tracks span a wide range of styles, from the frenetic energy of "This Ain't No Picnic" to the introspective and melodic "Jesus and Tequila." "Themselves" offers a raw, honest look at their DIY ethos, while "The Glory of Man" combines political commentary with intricate instrumentation. Unlike much of their contemporaries in the punk scene, the Minutemen's fusion of genres and political lyrics set them apart, influencing bands across the alternative rock spectrum. Tracks like "Corona" and "More Pain" are standout selections for their infectious hooks and distinctive production, blending tight rhythms with innovative guitar work. For enthusiasts of punk and alternative, this album is a must-have for its bold experimentation and critical place in music history.
